You get a Ford Police Interceptor Utility or Crown Victoria that was maintained on a schedule most personal vehicles never see. These aren’t neglected trade-ins. They’re fleet vehicles that had to pass inspection every time they rolled out.
Yes, they have miles. Most are between 100,000 and 150,000. But these engines were built for pursuit ratings and heavy-duty cycles. The suspension is reinforced. The brakes are upgraded. The alternator is commercial-grade.
You’re not buying someone’s problem. You’re buying a vehicle that was spec’d to handle worse conditions than you’ll ever put it through. And you’re paying somewhere between $5,000 and $15,000 instead of $25,000+ for something newer that wasn’t built half as tough.
If you need a second car, a work vehicle, or something reliable for a new driver, this is one of the smartest moves you can make. Especially in Winslow Township, NJ, where winter weather and rough roads eat through standard sedans.
We’ve been selling used patrol cars since 2003. We’re located at 833 Broadway in the Newark metro area, and we’ve built our reputation on straight answers and fair pricing.
We’re not a national chain. We’re independently owned, and our team actually knows these vehicles inside and out. We don’t oversell, and we don’t hide the realities of buying a former police car.
You’ll find our inventory stocked with Ford Crown Victorias, Ford Police Interceptor Utilities, and Dodge Chargers that came out of municipal and state fleets. Most of our buyers are in South Jersey—Winslow Township, Camden County, Gloucester County—and they come back because we don’t play games. We also offer 0% interest financing to everyone. No credit check drama. No surprises.
You start by browsing our current inventory. Everything we have is listed with mileage, year, and model. If you see something that fits your budget, you can come by and take a look in person.
When you arrive, we’ll walk you through the vehicle. We’ll show you what’s been removed (center console modifications, equipment holes), what’s still there (engine, transmission, frame), and what kind of shape it’s in. No sales pitch. Just the facts.
If you want to move forward, we’ll talk financing. Again—0% interest for everyone. We’ll go over the terms, get your paperwork handled, and get you on the road. Most people are in and out the same day.
After you drive off, the car is yours. These vehicles don’t come with warranties, but they also don’t come with the markups you’d see at a traditional dealership. You’re trading some cosmetic wear for a vehicle that’s proven it can take a beating and keep running.

We carry Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptors, Ford Police Interceptor Utilities (the Explorer-based SUV), and select Dodge Charger patrol units. Most of what we stock came out of New Jersey municipal fleets, which means they’ve seen local roads and local winters.
The Crown Vic is the legend. It’s body-on-frame, rear-wheel drive, and powered by a 4.6L V8 that’s known for going 200,000+ miles with basic maintenance. It’s not fancy, but it’s bulletproof. You’ll see them priced between $3,500 and $8,000 depending on year and mileage.
The Ford Police Interceptor Utility is the newer option. It’s based on the Explorer, comes with all-wheel drive, and has more interior space. It’s also pursuit-rated, which means it passed the Michigan State Police testing for high-speed performance and handling. These run between $10,000 and $18,000 in our inventory.
Winslow Township drivers tend to go for the Utility if they need something for family use or want better fuel economy. The Crown Vic is popular with contractors, flippers, and anyone who wants maximum durability at minimum cost. Both are legitimate options depending on what you’re using it for.
They’re a good deal if you go in with realistic expectations. You’re buying a vehicle that was driven hard, but also maintained obsessively. Police fleets run on schedules—oil changes, brake inspections, fluid checks—because a breakdown in the field isn’t an option.
The trade-off is mileage and cosmetics. You’re looking at 100,000–150,000 miles in most cases. The interior will have holes from equipment mounts. The paint might be faded or peeling, especially on Crown Vics (it’s a known issue with the factory clear coat).
But the mechanicals? Solid. These cars were built to handle idle time, high-speed runs, and constant stop-and-go. If you’re okay with a few dings and a stripped-down cabin, you’re getting a vehicle that’ll outlast most civilian cars at half the price. That’s why rideshare drivers, small business owners, and budget-conscious families keep coming back.
The Crown Vic is a full-size sedan with a 4.6L V8, rear-wheel drive, and body-on-frame construction. It was the standard patrol car in the U.S. from the late ’90s until 2011. It’s known for being indestructible, easy to fix, and dirt cheap to maintain. Parts are everywhere. Any mechanic can work on it.
The Police Interceptor Utility is based on the Ford Explorer. It’s a midsize SUV with all-wheel drive, more cargo space, and a newer platform. It replaced the Crown Vic as Ford’s primary police vehicle starting in 2013. It handles better, gets slightly better mileage, and has more modern safety features.
If you want maximum durability and the lowest cost of ownership, go Crown Vic. If you need more room, better winter traction, or something that doesn’t look as obviously like a retired cop car, go Interceptor Utility. Both are pursuit-rated. Both will run forever if you take care of them. It just depends on what you’re using it for.
Most will, but you need to call ahead and confirm. Some insurers get nervous about vehicles that were used in law enforcement, especially if they assume it’s been in pursuits or high-risk situations. Others treat it like any other used car once it’s been decommissioned.
The key is transparency. Let them know it’s a former patrol car. Give them the VIN. Ask if there are any coverage restrictions or higher premiums. In most cases, you’ll be fine—especially if you’re insuring it for personal or business use, not as a collector vehicle.
If your current provider won’t cover it or quotes you something ridiculous, shop around. There are insurers who specialize in fleet vehicles and former municipal cars. It’s not a dealbreaker. It just takes an extra phone call before you buy.
For a Crown Victoria, you’re looking at $3,500 to $8,000 depending on the year and mileage. These are the most affordable option and the easiest to maintain. They’re also the most common in our inventory because they were produced in huge numbers.
For a Ford Police Interceptor Utility, expect $10,000 to $18,000. These are newer, have lower mileage in some cases, and offer more features. They’re also more popular with families and anyone who needs all-wheel drive for winter driving in South Jersey.
Dodge Chargers fall somewhere in between, usually $8,000 to $15,000. They’re less common in our inventory but worth considering if you want a sportier feel and a Hemi V8. Just know that parts and repairs can cost more than a Ford.
We also offer 0% interest financing on everything, so you’re not stuck paying cash upfront. That makes it easier to get into a reliable vehicle without blowing your savings or dealing with a bank.
Most of what we stock has between 100,000 and 150,000 miles. Some have more. That sounds like a lot, but remember—these engines were built for 200,000+ miles of hard use. A Crown Vic with 120,000 miles is barely halfway through its lifespan if it’s been maintained.
Condition-wise, expect a clean engine and solid drivetrain. Expect a rough interior with holes in the dash, missing trim pieces, and wear on the seats. Expect cosmetic issues like paint fade, door dings, and scuffed bumpers. These were work vehicles, not showroom pieces.
What you won’t find is rust-through, frame damage, or neglected mechanicals. We don’t sell junk. Every car that hits our lot has been checked over. If something major is wrong, we’ll tell you. If it’s just cosmetic, we’ll price it accordingly. You’re getting transparency and value, not a gamble.
Yes. We encourage it. You need to know how it drives, how it feels, and whether it’s the right fit for what you’re doing. We’ll take you out, let you get behind the wheel, and answer any questions that come up.
You’ll notice these cars feel different than a standard sedan or SUV. The steering is tighter. The suspension is firmer. The brakes are more responsive. That’s all intentional—it’s how they were built. Some people love it. Some people need a few minutes to adjust.
We’re located near Winslow Township, NJ, so it’s easy to swing by and see what we have in stock. No appointment necessary. Just show up, and we’ll walk you through everything. If you like what you see, we can get you financed and on the road the same day.
