You’ll also find Dodge Charger Pursuits in stock from time to time. These are rear-wheel-drive sedans with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 putting out 370 horsepower. If you want something fast and loud, that’s your vehicle.
Most of what we sell comes from government and municipal auctions. That means the cars were used hard, but they were also maintained by the book. You’re not buying someone’s neglected trade-in.

Ford adds a heavy-duty cooling system to handle extended idle time. The brakes are larger and built for repeated hard stops. The suspension is reinforced to handle extra weight from equipment and gear. The electrical system is upgraded to support lights, radios, computers, and other electronics running simultaneously.
You also get a calibrated speedometer, reinforced seats, and a column shifter instead of a console-mounted one. Some units come with all-wheel drive as standard, and most have either the 3.7L V6 or the 3.5L EcoBoost V6.
The civilian Explorer might have more comfort features and a nicer interior, but the Interceptor Utility is built to take a beating. If you’re using the vehicle for work, long commutes, or anything that puts miles on fast, the Interceptor platform holds up better.
You’ll need to pick it up from our location in Newark, NJ. We don’t offer delivery services.
That said, we’re only about an hour from Chester depending on traffic, so it’s not a long trip. Most buyers make the drive, check out the vehicle in person, finalize financing, and head home the same day.

Start with the interior. Look for holes in the dashboard where equipment was mounted, tears in the seats, and any damage around the center console. Check the trunk area for water damage, especially near where the light bar was installed.
Pop the hood and look at the engine. Check fluid levels, look for leaks, and make sure the battery terminals aren’t corroded. Police cars idle a lot, so engine hours matter more than odometer miles—but you won’t always have access to that data.
Take it for a test drive. Listen for unusual noises, pay attention to how the brakes feel, and make sure the transmission shifts smoothly. These vehicles were driven hard, so if something feels off, it probably is.
